abb arquitectura is a multi-disciplinary team comprised
of architects, engineers and artists.
Directed by the couple, Angel Benson and Sarah Tuke,
the members of the team work together to reconcile the science of creation
with the construction of the imaginable.

Angel Benson
In 1985 Angel graduated with an Architecture Degree from the University of Baja California (UABC).
Since then he has been highly active both as an architect and visual artist.
In 1997 Angel was awarded a FOECA grant as an Architect for his project Architecture for reading. This project, a classroom in the Primary School Colegio La Esperanza, was primarily built by non-specialized volunteers.
In 2004 he was awarded another FOECA grant, this time in the visual arts category, for his project Decolorurbano.
As a visual artist he investigates material and space
and as an architect he seeks to create environments that integrate space
and culture.
Sarah Tuke
Sarah studied Visual Arts and Design in the Universities of RMIT and VUT in Melbourne, Australia.
Currently she spends most of the year in Mexico where she works at abb arquitectura as well as pursuing her studio practice as a painter.
In her paintings Sarah realizes a joyful investigation
of color which she distributes across the canvas obeying simple geometric
schemes. At abb, amongst other
responsibilities, Sarah is also our color consultant.
